Sorry you haven't heard from me in a while! Erica, remember? Things are really starting to take shape on this project and I want to share some more amazing details with all of you!
I spoke with Missy today and we signed the purchase agreement for the new house! We have been anxiously awaiting this part of the process. This is the first major milestone that we have hit and I'm so excited to share it with all of you!
The modular house that Missy purchased is a 2 story 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom home. The home was purchased from Preferred Mobile Homes.They are currently looking for a temporary house for Missy and the children as they do not have one currently while the new house is being put up. I ask that we continue to keep this family in our prayers as we search for this temporary home so that this part of the project can get underway.

The house will need some work on the inside flooring, drywall work, and heating/plumbing; however Missy and her children are so very excited to start seeing their new home take shape. There are still plenty of things that are needed for this project.
We are continuously looking for donations, there has been an account set up at Chemical Bank for Melissa VanHetHekke for monetary donations. If you are interested in donating to this fund you may give your donations to the bank to put into the account.
Items that are needed to begin this project are as follows as well as the quotes that we have received for each:
Dumpster fees for the demolition of the old house --------- $1,000.00
Building, well, and septic permits --------------------------$1,250.00
Electric well disconnects ----------------------------------$500.00
Foundation & Flatwork -----------------------------------$10,000.00
Roof (material only needed) -------------------------------$1,200.00
- materials include shingles, nails, snow guard etc
Siding (material only) --------------------------------------$500.00
